  • Managed the Revit process on 5-7 private residential projects, provided design and sustainability input.
  • Managed design process and directed design status meetings

Fairfax County DPWES. Plan Reviewer. Fairfax, VA. May ‘12 – Mar ‘14

  • Perform reviews of Expedited Plan Review tenant layouts for ADA compliance and County procedures.
  • Review residential building plans at customer walkthrough counter for structural integrity and code compliance with Virginia Residential Code 2009.
  • Provide excellent customer service and serve as technical building adviser to support the County’s mission. Review commercial plans for procedural compliance and DFU assessment.

ForrestPerkins, LLC. Interior Architect, Wash, DC. Feb ‘11 – Oct ‘11 (Recession Layoff)

  • Produced and maintained a set of approx 50 sheets of interior elevations and construction documents for the Morrison Clark Hotel renovation (DC) and ensured ADA compliance.
  • Skillfully co-managed a team of interns through concept design of the GT Land Hotel, Guangzhou, China
  • Used a strong knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, and application of materials

Mancini Duffy Winstanley. Team Leader/Contractor, Alex, VA. Mar ‘10 – Jun ’10

  • Skillfully managed a team of 4 people and successfully led the team to meet 2 major deadlines, including the completion of construction documents within the construction timeline and within estimated cost.
  • Produced a set of 14 full size legal architectural documents as evidence in court for the original design of the Eilan Residences Condominium Elevations, San Antonio, TX

Atelier Architects. Contractor/Designer, Wash, DC. Oct ‘09 – Feb ’10

  • Detailed, documented, and designed 2 entrance porches, stairs and canopies as well as 2-3 alternates for the Wayne Place DC Government Transitional Housing Project in Southeast, DC and ensured ADA compliance.
  • Studied and accurately detailed 3 window systems for the DC Public Libraries energy comparison
  • Performed field inspections to create as-built drawings

Leo A Daly, Inc. Architectural Designer, Wash, DC. Feb ‘09 – Sep ’09 (Recession Layoff)

  • Expertly researched and developed detailed 4 overall building sections using Microstation for the Fort Meade South Utility Plant (NSA) with the Army Corps of Engineers user program
  • Modified plans to technically conform to local and national fire protection codes and maintained the Building Code Analysis for the project, a task usually performed by the Project Manager
  • Developed a narrative to describe future LEED compliance, a task typical of higher level employees

Cooper Carry, Inc. Intern Architect, Alex, VA. Mar ‘06 – Aug ’08 (Recession Layoff)

  • Completed coordinated, accurate construction document sets, and ensured ADA compliance for 4 major hotel projects including the Dulles Sheraton, Westin Raleigh, Ridgewood SHS, and Houston RCS
  • Managed construction administration consistently and on time for the Ridgewood SHS over 6 months, completed 6 sheets of detail work typical of more experienced employees on 2 different hotel projects, saving the office $25-$50/hr by doing work typical of higher level employee, conducted several field inspections of work
